Mobile Device Management

Wikipedia definition of Mobile Device Management (MDM) software secures, monitors, manages and supports mobile devices deployed across mobile operators, service providers and enterprises. With the ever-growing number of smartphone options and the recent explosion of tablet computers, IT departments must find an efficient and secure way to enable employees’ use of mobile devices in the work place.
IBM has opened a private Beta program on Tivoli Endpoint Manager for Mobile. Enterprises will be able to leverage their Tivoli Endpoint Manager infrastructure to secure and manage traditional endpoints as well as Apple iOS, Google Android, Symbian, and Microsoft Windows Phone devices.
